Monica Yeko is an artist in many mediums. From sculptures made from branches, tiny decorative homes, flower, and landscape paintings, and mixed media, to installations, knitted "reading nests", and custom-designed pillows. In this exhibit, she made the bedazzling life-sized mermaid in the water protectors gallery, the under-the-sea painted table, the clay sculpted bottles with shells, barnacles, embedded mermaids and mermen, and the sparkling treasure chest with gold. She has lived in Chile, Brazil, and several states in the USA. She's been part of the Battle Creek Society of Artists and has supported numerous community special events with her art.
