Artist Statement

"Inspiration for my art comes from my love of Nature. The way light dances on the water, the wind blowing thru leaves. Water; the creation of life. Harmony. Endless Hours, Days, Weeks of Childish Play. Dallying the days away. The sweet wishful dream state of Childish Wonder. Being lost in Imagination and at Sea. The Blue Space Becomes Hypnotic Almost in its Tranquility;. Inspired by my love of travel, Endless Awe of Geography along with Michigan’s waters”.

In the "Be A Water Hero! Exhibit" she has a range of spectacular multi-media artworks and installations. Her attention-grabbing "Nature's Nurture: Architectural/Art Installation" made with vintage windows, and fused stained glass, in collaboration with photography by Jamie Feldman, delights with its custom design and color palette. It is complemented by a one-of-a-kind, multi-media outdoor or even indoor bench, perfect for reading, snuggling, journaling, drawing, meditating, or whatever makes you happy... made with vintage doors, and metal sun, carved cranes, and intriguing paint images.

8ft Crane Sculptures; a fanciful mosaic and concrete bird bath, a not-so-tiny tabletop greenhouse; a 2022 ArtPrize entry called Dream Farmer by Dione Tripp and Kelly O'Neill - a component of our exhibit that embodies the key message of our exhibit - our dream, that we want EVERYONE to be a water hero and do one thing a day at least to conserve and protect water!

She made vibrant painted sails and a sun face and two large water scenes, one with rocks and one without, on recycled barn wood. She made a clever boat and dock also on barn wood, and some table top abstract sailboats and a joyful jellyfish acrylic painting with a funky frame.
