Dawn c. murtaugh
Dawn Murtaugh is a Midwest artist, strongly influenced by the water, skies and landscapes surrounding Lake Michigan. Her textile art uses traditional and non-traditional quilting techniques. Recycling is embedded in her fiber inherited from the frugality and creativity of the women in her family. Using only recycled fabrics, she blends color, texture and visual rhythms creating portraits of the natural world affected by textile pollution.
